MEET ANDRÉA
Andréa Guedes (she/they) is a bilingual, queer, first-generation ColombianPortuguese communications strategist based in Portland, Oregon. As founder of Andrea Montoya LLC (COBID-certified: WBE, MBE, ESB #14980), she helps mission-driven organizations tell authentic stories, strengthen relationships, and build connections that last. With over a decade of experience across the nonprofit and private sectors, Andréa leads the development of integrated communications strategies that elevate visibility and foster genuine engagement. As a community-centric storyteller, her favorite projects are developing innovative, practical strategies that move people and make change. She is passionate about bringing creative ideas to life and building meaningful connections that deepen and build community. Andréa Guedes Founder & Principal Consultant Andrea Montoya LLC is named after founder Andréa Guedes' greatgrandmother, Ines Montoya. Raised in the rural outskirts of Medellin, Colombia in the 1930s, Ines' opportunities were limited, but her dreams were fierce. She raised eight children as a single mother, held her head high (even at 4' 10"), and never said no to a late-night card game. We proudly do our work in her honor. ABOUT OUR NAMESAKE ANDREA MONTOYA LLC 3 (She/They) A Project Management Professional (PMP) certified by PMI, Andréa also holds certificates in Public Relations and Project Management from Cornell University and a Community Engagement Certificate from Stetson University. She currently serves on the Board of Street Soccer USA Portland Chapter, KMHD Jazz Radio, and Advisory Board of Oregon Public Broadcasting.

Meet Andréa
With more than a decade of experience across the nonprofit and private sectors, Andréa’s work combines storytelling, operational strategy, and public engagement to help organizations align their messaging and share their impact more effectively.
Over the course of her career her work has supported multi-million-dollar public and private investments, launched new initiatives and industries, spearheaded innovative B2B strategy at a Fortune 500 company, and led her on stage to announce a Billboard charting, Grammy award-winning band. She has proudly promoted hundreds of housing units across the region, welcomed thousands of event attendees, and secured regional and national media coverage for mission-driven initiatives.
Andréa holds a PMP certification and additional credentials in Public Relations, Project Management, Community Engagement, and WCAG accessibility compliance. She currently serves on the board of Street Soccer USA Portland and on the advisory boards of KMHD Jazz Radio and Oregon Public Broadcasting.
